Center Cut Bacon has high protein than fat. Normal Bacon has higher fat than protein. But Center Cut Bacon just....isnt....bacon....  :-

Totally agree..But the biggest takeaway isn't the ratio of fat and protein in it, it's the fact that the protein that is in it, even in center cut, is far too low to be considered your main source of protein. The 8-12 strips a day is only like 40g-75g protein, and that's assuming center cut. One of the best lines I saw.... somewhere on the interwebs.. is "Bacon is a condiment." Unless you're making woven bacon taco shells. In which case, I salute you.

If I am about 17% body fat and roughly 5'9, my LBM is about 120 pounds.  I have been eating about 80grams of protein and 120grams of fat totaling to roughly 1500 calories.  I am just living off of bacon, eggs, coconut oil, hwc, mct oil and almonds.  Are my macro's ok? My goal is to cut fat.  I work out 5-6 times and lift heavy.  I used to be an avid runner and would only consume 1000 calories a day.  Since starting carbnite in May, I have gained 10 pounds and have seen some results in body composition.  I just want to lose the 10 pounds I have gained and wanted to know is it possible to gain about 10 pounds in muscle in 4 months or have I gained fat?

Uh, I might be very wrong here but at 5'9", 120 pounds (and you've just PUT ON 10 pounds) and 17% body fat (so lean mass is like 100 pounds) I would say "DUDE, you need to eat MORE (and lift hard).I'm kinda old, do people still say Dude?

I think he is saying his LBM is 120lbs and he is 17% BF so that makes him about 140lbs right now. But yes, he is a bit small for his size. Lift on sir, lift on!RB

I would say you need to include more meat other than just bacon.  It's not so much that it is too much bacon, just sounds like not enough food in general.

At least go for 1g protein/Lb, 80g for you is so little,I get 120-140g and im 130 LBM

They are doing carb nite which means they are trying to lose fat, so 80g is plenty.

You guys in the US are lucky, most of the bacon in the UK is “back bacon” which is leaner. Still damn tasty though.. yes I'm afraid my days of being a pescetarian are over 😉

I eat bacon by the pound and I don't care what cut it is. Lol1lb bacon with 6 eggs is one of my favorite meals to start or end my day with.

If you have the money and option to, get the Uncured Bacon because it has no Sodium Nitrates and Preservatives. It tastes a lot better too!
