Easiest is just making it. Frying or baking. I forget what the baking temperatures and times are.

Any tips on buying the bacon itself?

I haven't baked any bacon, but I do broil it in the oven.  Makes it pretty crispy and I can make like 10 pieces at 1 time!

400° for about 20 minutes or 200° for 2 hours

And you probably want to go with 'thick cut” bacon.  Regular sized bacon seems to just fry up into little bacon crisps.
