I have been wondering this for a long time,I love to have a helping of spinach / broc / asparagus etc w/ my lunch or dinner but one thing i have really felt like i had a strong hold on was how to measure these vegetables. For instance http://pictsweet.com/our-products/spinach-baby-leaf shows a serving size of 1 Cup. Well the family bag shows that there is normally 8 servings in a bag. If i were to scoop out 1 Cup amounts I would only get maybe 3 or 4 at the MOST. So does this mean that these servings are calculated when they are frozen? or before they are condensed? Another example or question, we have a garden and we picked say 2 shopping bags full of spinach. I took those and added some oil and cooked that entire bag down to a cup. Thanks guys!
Measure it by weight with a kitchen scale. Cooked or uncooked is up to you, but if the item is going to just lose water when cooked, I would weigh it uncooked. Also, check and see if the beg specifies cooked or uncooked with the nutrition panel.

This is an example that calls out weight, but what if it just says 1 Cup. (I guess im also asking for if its a mixed vegetable and not just spinach or whatever)
