No! I take that back... it contains Banaba. That spikes insulin. I would refrain, except post-workout or during the backloads on CBL... which kinda defeats its purpose.Sorry.Cory

Except that this fat burner contains Banaba, an insulin-spiking herb. I am confused as to why it was included in this product, rather than cinnamon (which steadies insulin release, rather thank spiking).Cory

So if cinnamon steadies the release of insulin, does that mean it has an effect similar that of low GI carbs?

Yes... or rather, it gives ingested carbs a steadier effect, like low GI carbs.Cory

So does that make it good, or bad for a backload or carb nite? I would think bad?

Cinnamon = bad on a CN or back-load. I wouldn't even take it during ULC, b/c I don't want to effect insulin in any way -- slow or spike.Banaba = bad during ULC, i.e. pre-workout (which is what the supp. is marketed as). It spikes insulin. That said, it would be fine during a CN or back-load, but that would defeat the purpose of this product.Cory
