Big_RParticipanti read that when it first came out. It should work well with CBL – I've been doing specialization for a while and it works really well as long as you do it correctly and eat enough protein. just be prepared to work the shit out of a particular group of muscles. It's intense!

jsmithMemberI will probably start it next week. Whats an incorrect way to do specialization? No problems with intense work outs here.

Working Too many Large MUscle Groups Too Often. Specialization Should Not Include More Than One Large Muscle Group at A Time ... I.e. ChesT Or Back. Three Times A Week On Both Would Be Tough To Recover From

TomahawkMemberI actually came into this section to see if anyone had tried this with CBL. My plan is to try this with CBL in the future. Still running CNS right now with Shockwave. Figure my body fat % could be lower along with my overall weight. Plus you need a legitimate gym for these workouts NOT a fitness center/health club.If you decide to use this please keep us informed to some extent. I assume you are planning on running this with CBL.

Provided your protein levels are high and your working out intensely it works great. I used specialization much like that of i.bodybuilder when i started my log. noticable changes

jsmithMemberim still in the first week. the gym at my college doesn't even have the equipment i need to follow this routine exactly. the first phase is shoulder specialization. its pretty rough on the shoulders and not in a good way, but thats probably my fault for doing some of the stuff on the smith machine(lack of right equipment at my gym). overall though i am liking it. pretty intense though so probably not for beginners.

Well what do you consider "high" for protein? Since following CBL and CNS I have lowered my protein intake. It is more around bodyweight in pounds. Looking through the plan it looks like something I can do.

Ya my reason for holding off is because I am running CNS and this definitely looks like it would need CBL instead. Plus the place I lift at now isnt ideal for this routine. Well I have been lifting for close to a decade now. Obviously not all of them were productive.

Big_RParticipantWell specialization calls for important nutritional framework. Working a muscle 3x /week is going to take you towards the over training side of things so its important to have some extra protein to prevent muscle loss. I would recommend at least 1 gram per pound bodyweight at least. Obviously you wouldnt want to do this on cns but i am sure u already know that. CBL is optimal in that the carbs will assist with recovery and you want to make sure you at least have a surplus of macros so its good to have an idea of your cbl carb threshold is so u dont gain body fat. Then when u return to maintenance volume of that muscle group you should see some growth. Like anything else u gotta figure out what macros work for you.

That is what I figured as far as protein and the extra volume on specific muscle group. I didnt count protein when I ran CBL previously but I am sure I had over 1 gram per pound bodyweight.Ya I am just doing CNS now so I can get closer to ideal body fat percent. Right now I am probably 230(5'7") with a solid strength base just too much fat for my liking. When I did CBL before I was doing SA but I kept my carb window too long. Which helped me gain a bit more weight than I would have liked. Still was gaining muscle but accumulating too much fat. I feel like I have a better understand of the diet and my body now.

I Also Did Cns.For A While Before Back Loading And It Def Helps You Figure Your Body Out So Yea, As Long As You Use Volume You Can RecovEr From And Consume Good Amount Of ProteiN I.think U Would.Be.pleased With The Results. Especiallh If You Have Been Around The Block Before...cheers
