sipock98MemberAfter reviewing CNS, CBL, along with Shockwave, 5/3/1, & The Outlaw Way, I am at the point where I have no clue what I want to do. After reading Shockwave 1.4, it sounds very promising but its very confusing. I dont have an Iphone so I cant use the app. So that is annoying. 5/3/1 seems to be doable, but then I think which program do I incorporate with it (CNS, CBL-SA, Etc.)? I got an email from someone with the Outlaw affiliate explaining some of the program and that sounds interesting as well. I need to make a decision and do it soon. My question is what is everyone else doing? What workout and meal program has given you your best results? Understand that everyone is different, but I would just like a perspective. 😮

Brandon D ChristParticipantWhat are your goals? Do you want to improve body comppsition, get stronger, more muscular, lose as much fat as possible? If possible make a list of what you want from the diet/training, starting with the most important. I can then point you in the right direction.

The more I think of it, what I really want to do is:1) Lose BF%. Currently around 19%. Understanding that I need to set realistic short term goals.2) Gain Strength3) Get BiggerI've been Crossfitting for over a year, but I am willing to incorporate other training with it. I built my own garage gym, so I am a bit limited with some exercises. However, I did build a Squat, Bench, Pull up rack. I do have a PowerBlock Sport (only up to 50lbs per), GHD, Concept 2 rower, couple of slam balls, battle rope, three sided plyo box, adjustable bench, and a few kettlebells. Oh yeah and over 300lbs in bumper plates. If you need any other info from me, let me knwo. I am willing to try anything at this point. Thanks.

Brandon D ChristParticipantDo Carb Backloading for your diet. For training do 5/3/1. Make sure you do the prep phase for carb backloading and utilize the chart in the back of the book. Most people who do not get results on CBL usually eat too many carbs in their backloads or (to a lesser extent, but still rather common) overeat when they are ULC. As far as your goals, you should be able to get down to 15% body fat in two months. Maybe even leaner. Message me or post here if you need help with figuring out how much to eat.

What calculations do you use in order to figure Macros OR did I miss that section in the book?

It's in the appendix on page 230 (or pdf page 247). Make sure you read the directions on how to sue the chart. I also created a simplified version here: http://athlete.io/forum/index.php?topic=8845.0

I'm jealous of your gym. Particularly the rower and that amount of bumpers. 😛Try not to get too bogged down by the choices! Good luck with it, too.. ibob has laid out a good suggestion for you!

Still waiting for them to approve my request. Seems to be an issue with them getting to it.
