The regular stuff usually has high fructose corn syrup. They make low-carb ketchup and BBQ sauce if you can find it. Walmart had it when Atkins was so popular (some stores may still carry it, but our local one don't).

Which is fine in moderation and the exact same as table sugar.

    Table sugar is 50% glucose.

No, you must be thinking sucrose.

No, I'm not.Depending on which kind of HFCS used, it has between 45-58% glucose, the rest being fructose. It is nearly the exact same as table sugar.

HFCS-90 is 90% fructose. If it's no different than table sugar, why did Kiefer even bring it up in CNS then? ???

HFCS-90 is hardly ever used. It almost all applications they use 48 or 55.CNS is like, 8 years old, and Kiefer has said multiple times for CNS it's a non-issue as long as you aren't drinking it.

Huh. I thought HFCS was mostly F (hence the “high fructose”). My bad.

The reason it's called high fructose is because normal corn syrup is pure glucose, so 45% fructose is high compared to 0%

Heinz makes a 75% reduced sugar ketchup. I have it almost everyday and it tastes nearly the same (once you get used to it). 1 carb per tablespoon.
