agentmadsParticipantHey everyone, first post! So, I'm thinking starting on supplementing with Leucine like Kiefer suggest in carb back loading. I've looked around, but it seems like all the Leucine supplements I can find is L-Leucine. Is there any difference, or is L-Leucine what is recommended? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

IronDudeMemberL-Leucine = Leucine!I use it (doing CNS) and it seems to help with Regeneration a lot. Also it seems to really boost growth. After drinking my PWO with Leucin i get a nice blood rush in the muscles i just trained.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hn_tFB8C0LY

David M PopeParticipantThey're the same. You know it's good if it looks and feels kind of like soap shavings and tastes terrible. But it's great stuff! Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

For a man who reads a bunch of science material you seem to have forgotten your organic chemistry. They most certainly are not the same thing. L-Leucine refers to the specific enantiomer in the set of stereoisomers. D-Leucine would be the other. I only pick at this because I am a chemical engineer and this stuff sticks out to me haha.

D-Leucine afaik is not sold as a bodybuilding supplement so anything you find in supplement stores labeled leucine will be l-leucine.. that's what i meant by same thing

Penny DannerParticipantWhat brand of Leucine does everyone use?

Richard SchmittModeratorHonestly, any that is a cheaper brand. PrimaForce sells L-Leucine, Serious Nutrition Solutions, and True Nutrition sells Leucine.

thanks. Saw your recommendation for true nutrition for protein powder too so I'm going to order. Good prices....and can get it made with stevia. I don't like other artificial sweeteners.

Richard SchmittModeratorYou're welcome.I like their new mix generator, so you can make a PWO Shake easily and not have to worry about measuring each out. It's already there. (At least I hope, seems like it was advertise as such.)
