k0sTiMemberI was looking into Leucine supplementation when I stumbled across some interesting fact:According to http://espen.info/documents/A174-03PaedPNGuidel_AminoAcids.pdf (and other sources of course) supplementing only one of the essential amino acids isn't going to work that well. The limiting factor is always the amount of the amino acid which is represented least. Are you guys supplementing more complex or just "dumping in" Leucine and hoping it's going to work? 🙂EDIT:Ok I just looked through the CBL book and found that taking leucine with protein hydrolysates is the best way to go!

Leucine's effect on building muscle has been known for some time... There have been many supps based around a 5-10g leucine dosage however they kind of died off as far as i can tell. Leucine provides a very obvious kind of anabolic effect.. For the price it's a must have and integrates with all pwo supps as prescribed by kiefer.

k0sTiMemberI think I'll get this: http://www.sciteconline.com/language/en/product.php?ver=1&name=scitec_bcaa_x-pressI could get also pure Leucine tablets (http://www.sciteconline.com/language/en/product.php?ver=1&name=scitec_leucine) but the amount is pretty low.

hack_attackParticipantIf you check out Protein Fatory's website, you find several things. First of all, you can add hydrolyzed leucine to just about anything. Or, you can straight up buy the hydrolyzed leucine (it is actually an amino acid complex that is about 50g leucine/100g) What I do is add leucine to my WPI, as well as to my hydro-casein that I get from the site. It is only about 2 bucks extra, and it takes care of leucine supplementation without having to go pick up an extra BCAA supp.

Brandon D ChristParticipantYou need to take leucine with another amino acid source and an excellent one is hydrolysate for the enhanced protein synthesis. However, leucine can trigger mTOR and insulin all by itself.
