catzeatdogKeymasterHow long do you plan to run cbl for? I personally have been cycling for a while so wasn't a massive change for me, I plan to implement it for as long as I lift, Apart from when I'm on holiday. In the article with Sam joy (the original) in the comments section he states one should only run cbl for 4-5 months , what's that about ?

Richard SchmittModeratorI want to run CNS and CBL till I'm literally cannot train anymore. It's a good program to work with an everyday life style. If its for looking good, wanting body recomp, or power/stage meets. This diet/program works wonders. Personally my plan with CNS is to run it for 7-8 months then run CBL SA during the Fall/Winter times 3-4 months. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk

catzeatdogGuestLol, I would probably plan it the opposite way cbl all year round with the odd month of cns if and when needed . But I'm happy around 10%-12% and get really bored low carb

Brandon D ChristParticipantI will be on CBL as long as I care about working out. I don't know how anyone who takes their fitness seriously couldn't. It is the optimal diet for gaining muscle and staying lean. That being said I will probably run Density Bulk from October – March and Strength Accumulation from April – Sepetember.

catzeatdogGuestSounds like a plan, wouldn't you think you'd need a month of cns after the db period to get the fat burning rolling?

Haha, no I am not the type that needs results quickly when it comes to losing fat. I am perfectly fine with waiting a few months for the couple pounds of fat to come. To me muscle gain is number one. Plus, if you do DB properly you shouldn't gain that much fat. However, if I was entering a bodybuilding competition I would definately have to use Carb Nite.

TomahawkMemberI plan on making it a lifestyle. Much like ibobland08 just a little more geared toward fat loss. Pretty much CBL SA all the time with CNS thrown in to lean out more. Might do a little CBL DB but would be for very short amount of time. Plus depends on how well CNS works for me.

Gl;itch.eMemberDepends how much changes with Kiefer's evolution of the diet. But I can say for certain I will be skipping breakfast for the rest of my life.

ChuckMemberYea I think the CNS does need to be cycled off every 6 months like Kiefer recommends. But as far as CBL goes, I would say never. You’re constantly surprising your body every day, by going ultra low carb in the morning, and back loading after the workout. Speeds up the metabolism and keeps your body guessing.

I have a feeling Kiefer would find your last line a bit dubious.

ChuckMemberHow so? You think about it your body is constantly dealing with an influx of carbs at a certain time so the body becomes dubious, in the sense that it is challenging the circadian rhythms. That’s why fasting works so well, skipping breakfast, tell the body the optimal fuel source will be fat, and then bam all the sudden a whole pizza is introduced to the gut, and the fat cells have no choice but to let the muscles take the grub. ;D

No offense, but your explanation is very unscientific. That is why it is dubious.
