guitarjonParticipantI'm doing a bit of a rePrep starting today. I backloaded last night and I've just done 30 minutes of HIIT. At this point I've fasted for nearly 13 hours. They only whey I've got is concentrate with ace-k. I've got a crapload of chicken, as well as a couple containers of cottage cheese to use up. My first planned meal today was supposed to be eggs cooked in coconut oil with some spinach and bacon. I'm just not sure which would be best to break my fast, having just done cardio. Any suggestions?

guitarjonParticipantI ate some chicken and had some coffee with a bit of coconut oil. I don't know what the hell to do with the cottage cheese. It's use-by date is tomorrow but since I'm going ULC for the time-being I've got to be careful. I love the stuff but it's got 12g of carbs per container. I'm trying to avoid dairy as much as possible also to see if I can't get my skin to thin out a bit.

kishinvibesGuestHi guitarjon,Kiefer mentioned what he does for his cottage cheese, he said that he can eat up to a pound at a time and uses it as a replacement for shakes (he got tired of them after a couple of decades) 🙂EDIT: Up to a pound in a day, should have rephrased that one. I listened to the interview today during my lunch break but I was frequently interrupted so I need to listen to it again.http://www.dangerouslyhardcore.com/760/interview-with-kiefer-about-carb-backloading/Hope this helps 🙂- Kishin

jtrouve63MemberI'd be careful with the cottage cheese, too much at once will spike your insulin. You could eat it in small portions and spread them out. I usually just avoid dairy (I'm mildly allergic to casein) so I don't have to worry about the carbs. I stick to eggs, beef and sometimes fish and chicken

Yeah I'm being super careful with it. I'm just gonna have a bit before bed with some peanut butter (I'll end up having about 6g of carbs before bed, not too bad) and the same tomorrow night. I'll just try to spread the rest through the day tomorrow. It's not ideal but I'd rather use it up and have a few more carbs than throw it out...I love cottage cheese. The only other dairy I'm getting is an ounce of cheese I've been putting in my 3 egg omelette (cooked in coconut oil=delicious) with spinach and bacon, and the tablespoon or so of cream I have with my coffee and coconut oil. I am ultimately intending to cut the cheese out too though for the most part. It just makes the omelette so much tastier!
