impKeymasterSo…about 3-4 weeks into CBL and my stomach still hates getting a lot of fat thrown at it at once (keeping 1:1). I haven't had solid'stool' in about 2 weeks, and my stomach will stay mad at me for a couple hours at a time. Does this ever go away? Sorry for any excess detail.

Richard SchmittModeratorAh I'm sure you'll come around with a having solids. I know when I drink a lot of water and have a fatty meal I tend to do the same. I would assume your body is getting used to it.

impGuestThank god. Glad it'll eventually go away. Thanks as always tex

Brandon D ChristParticipantAre you consuming any vegetables? A little bit of fibrous vegetables with protein+fat meals helps if you are new to a high fat diet.

Yup. On ULC days I typically have a plate of romaine or baby spinach with each of my three meals. Today's a CBL day for me, so all I've had today is water and some bacon. ULC days typically make it worse for me though.

nickl413MemberHonestly, this sounds like an issue with too much mct/coconut oil. How much are you taking per day? Personally I can't take more than 3/4 TBL without having issues like you describe.

impGuestTypically 1tbsp a few hours after waking up and that's it. I learned my lesson with trying to do 2tbsp, especially on an empty stomach. It doesn't bother me in the mornings anymore typically, but rather after my second meal on ULC days. And in today's case too, but I was fine for a few hours after the MCT oil. It was about 15 minutes after downing about 14 slices of bacon. Kind of to be expected with that much fat though I guess?

nickl413MemberNot really. 14 slices is nothing lol. It can take a few hours before the effects of the coconut/mct are seen. I would consider cutting that out entirely for a couple of days and see if it fixes your problem.

nickl413MemberI'd also like to point out that 15 mins is not enough time for solid food to get digested and have that kind of impact on your gut. When you eat, other things that are still moving through your belly will begin to move faster. So whatever happens 15 mins after you eat bacon is likely not that bacon's fault. It's something else you ate in the last 24 hours or so.

Brandon D ChristParticipantMCT oil for whatever reason gives my a very unique stomachache. It isn't similiar to anything else I ever used. Coconut oil I do great with though.

I'll try this tomorrow. Thanks!

Yeah, it gives me the bubble-gut feeling, but it never actually goes away fully until I eat something else with substance. The only reason I even include it is because of my paranoia when it comes to having my body go into a catabolic state if I fast more than 12 hours ???

monsieurjkbMemberi find spinach causes loose bowels if I have more than a small handful cooked. Maybe try some other veg? Also, digestive enzymes can help.

+1 on the enzyme suggestion. In time, you will adjust, but you may still find there are days when you are, quite literally, pissing out your ass.Cory
