Powergirl36MemberOh my goodness, does coconut oil cause stomach pain and a bubble gut???? I've been eating major amount of it (5-6 TBSP oer day) and have had TERRIBLE stomach pain and also the bubble gut feeling. I've been thinking it had to do with my backloads, but maybe its the coconut oil after all?!?!?!

Damon AmatoParticipantCalm down, girl. Scale it back to 2-3tbsp/daily. Carrying excess water can be caused by several things. One of which is stress. No need to flip over every little thing.

missmarceGuestGood to know Im not the only one experiencing this! Ive been doing CBL for a few months now, but I never did the prep phase. I decided to finally go through with it am on day 4. My stomach has been SO upset. I am on a very strict version of the paleo diet due to an autoimmune condition, so I cant eat dairy, eggs or nuts. That basically limits my fat sources to meat, coconut oil and some avocado. Ive also cut way back on my veggie consumption this week. I really think all the extra coconut oil is making me sick. Im pretty much having to eat it off the spoon to get my 1:1 ratio.

Powergirl36MemberI didn't flip out! I just sounded like it from the ?!??!?!!?… sorry about that! 🙂 But seriously, that never occurred to me that that could be whats been causing the stomach pain! SO thankful to find that out!

monsieurjkbMemberFor better fat digestion, a digestive enzyme supp with Ox Bile (now food super enzymes) will do the trick.

Without a doubt lol. Too much has a laxative effect. Cut it out entirely too see if that was the cause, then bring it back, starting at a small amount, 1 T or so, go from there....
