ItzThatGuyShaneKeymasterAs the title says, is it really any good for you to be eating fatty cuts of meat, such as bacon daily? This has probably been covered numerous times, but again, I tried to use the search bar and it hasn't thrown up anything that has answered my question. Thanks

AirPoweredMemberI think I heard an interview with Kiefer, where he stated, that it was okay, as long as you didn't eat carbs in mass quantaties in general.

TCBParticipantThis is a question you'd be better served using Google to search for, than the forums. The long story short is, saturated animal fat is actually quite good for you.

SpatzModerator“Long term effects of eating fatty cuts of meat?” You become an animal in the gym. 🙂 And your awesomeness will improve over time.

breenhouseMemberAgree with everything in this thread. The demonisation of fat (a vital macronutrient) in today's society is completely unwarranted. Now something that is actually bad for you: long term consumption of an excessive caloric surplus.Â

+1 Ive actually done a lot of research on this topic. Currently doing a research project on the intake of animal fats.Overall, long term consumption of Animal Fats is ok, but more ideal if you select the source carefully. Even though Im sure you will be "ok" eating standard beef, pork, chicken.Consuming Grass Fed Beef, and Pork, and Nautral Chicken & Eggs is much better long term.Without posting an entire research paper worth of information. I will summarize by simply stating that the make-up of the fatty acids is changed (for the better) in Grass Fed and Naturally Raised Animals. The level of toxins, antioxidants, etc in the protein is changed as well.
