Anyone have any suggestions on some good things to snack on during ULC days.I know people on here said to avoid almonds, peanuts and any other plant based fats.I sometimes go with jerky but i need other options.

Nuts in general are okay in small amounts. Just not a bulk of your diet.Jerky is great as well. Coconut butter is awesome. How often do you find yourself needing to snack during ULC?I find I'm rarely hungry during ULC as long as I eat a big meal.

I just find myself tempted to eat something with carbs in it and want an alternative to go to.also sometimes at work (at a restaurant) i'm unable to eat anything without carbs until after my shift.

Id like to open a can of worms. Why are you snacking? Eat meals and be done with it. Snacks IMPEDE progress. Yes even low carb ones IMO.

as long as I'm drinking my coffee I rarely get hungry for snacks but If I have to have a snack I love my pork rinds.

I eat tons of bacon and fatty cuts of meat. But on days where I have to work all day with barely any break I usually have to fast until about 3 or 4 and then don't have chance to eat until around 10. I know this would seem like an ideal situation for off days but I def find myself getting weak and tired during work even after drinking the tons of coffee and caffeine. Just was wondering if there was anything ideal to snack on because last time I mentioned almonds and jerky on here all I got was "don't do it!" haha.

Are a snacking a must? Again eat whole meals and forget about “snacking” just basically leads to over eating and a habit. “low carb snacks” shouldn't be a go-to snack anyways. Just another word to cheat when you're not supposed to.

again i don't mean like snacking all day, i mean like a couple handful of almonds or something in between two or three large meals… i don't see how something like that can be seen as cheating or overeating, just was wondering if anyone had the same issue of feeling tired or weak and had a go to food or anything.

Are you physically hungry at these times or just feeling "tired or weak"? if you are physically hungry having some almonds may help but if you are tired I dont see how having something that going to take 3+ hours to provide energy is going to help you.Whats the rest of your diet like? Do you use cream or coconut oil in your coffees? If not, Coconut Oil is the first thing I would try.

I used to do coconut oil and cream in my first coffee of the day but have been drinking it black as to keep my fast going for longer. I might try to include it in the morning again though and keep some almonds on me during the day in case im very hungry

There isn't much wrong with snacks from a fat loss perspective, just stay below 30 g of carbs each day.  However, once you get used to going low carb, it is good for your health to give your digestive organs a break.Anyways I would suggest string cheese, macademia nuts, jerkey, or pork rinds.
