I've asked this before as part of other questions, but haven't seen this answered. I never lose any weight on the ULC part of the diet, so I typically backload with less than 140 grams (160 is the absolute highest I'll go). I train 5 days a week, pretty intense, in the morning, and backload the night before four of those workouts. What's the absolute lowest number of carbs to eat at dinner (or as dessert) to create the necessary insulin spike? I want to play around with the number a little, but don't want to shortchange myself since I don't have much wiggle room.

You could probably go around 50-100 if they're the right kind. I'd imagine white rice, white bread, sweet potato or even dextrose with protein would probablyDo it.

Thank you Max! Will give it a shot for one of my backloads and see how it does…

We don’t need much: 20 to 40 grams (that's one or two largebananas’ worth). We’re hunting for a spike in blood sugar andinsulin, not trying to replenish the glycogen reserves drained duringtraining.  from CBL in regards to PWO Shake.  So, minus this by your acceptable back load you've experienced.
