I’m a 44 year old female who currently weighs 133 and has been going through menopause. I’ve been on Carbnite for 2 solid weeks and have been feeling really good, however I’m not sure if I’m calculating my macros correctly. I used the .7g/bodyweight for protein which would be around 93g, and have been around 115g for fat. I’m moderately active – walking-30-45 mins everyday and lift semi-heavy 2 times a week. I’ve lost about 4lbs so far, but have been seeing a significant difference in how clothes fit and what the mirror shows. Am I calculating my macros correctly? Also, is there a possibility that ketosis has anything to do with getting my period for the first time in eight months? My doctor confirmed that I am starting menopause, and have had irregular periods for the past 2 years. The most recent absence has been this past 8 months, but I just got it yesterday after 2 weeks on the program. Is this just a coincidence or could something be going on with my hormones?
