Has anybody an idea what the body will use as energy source when carbs and MCT’s are consumed together?
I train at 5 p.m. and work at 7 p.m.
I try to backload my carbs after my workout right before I go to work and during my break at work.
But my job is very physically demanding
I feel that the carbs I am taking in are used for energy rather than filling up my glycogen stores for next workout.
I was thinking of adding some MCT oil to my meals with the idea that the MCT oil will be used for fuel to work so the carbs will not be used for energy but for glycogen storage.
But is this true? Will my body use the MCT oil as energy source rather than the carbs I am consuming with it?
