I am an evening trainer, usually in the 8pm to 9pm range.Sometimes between working late and travel I may not get home until 7pm.I'm out the door 6am ish.I have been on CBL for several days now,and I like it.My issue is that between the evening meals,Post work out shakes and post workout carbs, there is a lot of food and nutrition crammed together in a short period of time.Is there a problem with this?I guess it's not optimal, but some nights it's just the way it is.Kiefer does mention something called "grazing",constant small quantities of food, not sure if this qualifies.

I do this.I normally have 1-2 hours total to eat after training and I need lots of carbs. As long as you can stomach it, it's fine. You might add some digestive enzymes to help.

That's cool.So far,I just feel really, really full.In the morning, I feel just a little full. What really surprises me though,is with all that eating,I have had no gas.I usually get some gas with all that small meal, healthy eating.I think I am finding out some things I didn't expect.

My gas is either a food intolerance you had, or simply eating a ton more protein then needed.

I'm thinking it's a gluten thing.I'm usually a whole wheat eater, and now going with all high glycemic carbs,I have no problems at all.I like oatmeal, but only have time on the weekend to have it.If I have two bowls of it on a weekend, the 2nd bowl I have gas like I ate 3 pounds of baked beans.I tried cream of rice the other night,no problems, didn't like as much, but I'm not that picky.

Baked Beans? Those are pretty low GI.. Proabably why you did better on rice. Additionally eating 3 pounds of them I can't imagine your digestive system wanting to say thanks.

While I agree on the amount causing some painful times in the bathroom, most of the time baked beans are pretty high GI, cooking them down for a long time breaks them down making the starch easier to digest plus they often have sugar added.

I had also found, that if eaten in abundance, it can be rather inflammatory. Just a little bit of info there too.

Ok,I remember my point now…when eating oat meal,I would get gas comparable to the gas when some people eat a lot of baked beans.I thought that was very strange but it may have been something gluten related.

gas from those is generally due to the high amounts of fibers in them

Fibre and starch yep. Bacteria loves that shit! Beans and veges like corn etc are similar in that we cant digest a lot of it but bacteria can and they produce the gas via fermentation.
