putt86KeymasterI got caffeine powder from truenutrition.com few weeks ago… Kinda scared to use it, because I don't know how to measure approx. 200-400 mg of caffeine to dump into coffee. Do y'all have ways that help you to measure caffeine powder accurately? It sound like any tsp spoon wouldn't work with caffeine since mg is based on weight? Any advices will be appreciated! When you usually take green tea pills? I usually take them first thing in morning with coffee/CO or sometime mid-morning... Taking two additional pills before workout.. Fish oil - Do you really take 10 capsules? my fish oil have abt 500ish mg of DHA/EHA per pill so i have to take 10 to meet Keifer's suggestion, taking 5 g of DHA/EHA daily.

Richard SchmittModeratorGet a scale first off, that's the biggest mistake A LOT of people make is not using one. Once you can eye ball the correct amount then you can opt to not using a electric scale. Get one.Green Tea pills? Not many take that but the time you take yours is ok, and yes about the fish oil you have to take enough to get the recommended 5g of DHA/EPA minimum

putt86GuestOne I saw at Bed Bath Beyond… They sell food scales… I am not sure if they able to display 0.2 – 0.4 g or 200-400 mg on scale? If yes then I'll buy one ASAP.. I do want to own food scale to measure some meats' portion but was holding back till someone can provide answers on display of 200-400 mg on the scale.Ok, I'll keep what I am doing with fish oil. I have alot of green tea capsules so I am gonna use them up... Also think it might help me to dodge flu or cold bug.

Richard SchmittModeratorGet the one from TN. That's the one I have and accurately measures the amount you need. Also get a food scale from a store that can measure in grams, pounds, and ounces. It's a life savor

ForXParticipantI bought a measuring spoon set that has units less than a teaspoon. The smallest being 1/32 of a teaspoon or a smidgen. The caffeine powder I have says that amount is 200 mg.

putt86GuestSo, it mean 1/32 teaspoon would net you approx. 200mg of caffeine? Gotta look for tiny teaspoons. Probably have better chance on Amazon or eBay to get one than stores. Will check TN's scale too!

ForXParticipantYeah, the stuff I have is from supplements direct. It was supposed to come with a serving spoon but its not in there. I bought the measuring spoon set at a local kitchen gadget shop.
