As we know, leucine doesn't mix easily in water. Would using an egg yolk as an emulsifier help to mix the leucine with the whey in the shake diminish the insulin spiking effects of the whey and leucine due to the fat present in the egg yolk?

Possibly, but it also doesn't help the leucine that much. I've actually added in extra lecathin and it still doesn't mix great. Best bet it just deal with it.

I always just down my leucine with some water, and then have my protein shake. I also think leucine taste the same way it mixes….

The leucine I get from true nutrition mixes ok with all my other protein powder in my PWO. I also take bcaa pre-workout and I throw that in my black coffee. It mixes well in the coffee and the coffee helps the taste, but you can definitely taste it still even in the coffee

What i do is mix the leucine with water on another not very big bottle, just shaking it, and then use that water for the protein powder… Works like a charm. And about the taste... Nah, it aint great, but i find it better whith chocolate flavored whey

I still don't get the complaints about leucine. Yeah, it's not great, but it isn't retch-worth either. And I've also used both regular leucine and the instantized stuff and never had a problem just in a shaker bottle with my other ingredients and shake for 15 seconds.
