NoBread4MeParticipantYes I tried some stuff and at the hospital I am right now they relate it to CFS but I don't take that. Made already huge improvent after changing diet and supplements past few months, still body crashes after certain foods so I dont see why I cant improve more while at the hospital they think I have to learn to live with it.I tried an orthomoleculair doc next to the hospital and now I am also starting with mindfulness training. Right now there is no money left for new docs etc.I dont do mobility work, you mean like yoga?It is hard to explain. It is not really cramp (even that night it was). It is some weird chronic feeling in my calves. Sort of the feeling after training but a bit more sore maybe? Also it is worst when I wake up and became less after starting magnesium. Gl;itch.eMemberAre you eating low carb? This can take its toll on muscles prone to trigger points. If you are taking in enough sodium and not drinking too much water it could be worth trying some potassium and calcium. I think calcium has been over looked in recent times.

NoBread4MeParticipantLately I am eating more carbs and also feeling and looking better. Don't really notice a difference in my calves I would say though.Sodium is good, add Himalayan Salt to every glass of water I drink. Potassium made me feel really bad. I have health issues and one of the things I suspect is adrenal fatigue, and did read in a book that potassium too much is bad for adrenals, so that might have explained it. Calcium is indeed the thing now that I didn't try yet. I didn't get calcium in ages except from vegetables which I also didn't take much of in the past, so that might help. Thanks guys! Would you guys consider yoga mobility work?

cheese and milk! calcium in veges is pretty insignifcant and hard to absorb unless they are cooked really really well Id also consider getting plain white salt/celtic sea salt instead of the himalayan salt which is high in iron that you probably already get too much of. Adrenal Fatigue is BS too btw. Do things that support your thyroid and adrenal health is taken care of. Adequate Sodium is still one of those things though.

NoBread4MeParticipantMy body totally crashes after cheese, I can be insane fatigued for a few days and not be able to think clear and so on. Not sure about milk but not going to try. My latest theory after 2,5 years of research is that I have a yeast/mold allergy since every time I eat those foods I crash. But yeah thanks I will try calcium supplements. Edit: Did buy the calcium supplements, will keep you guys updated.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yoga is technically mobility work but anything like stretching, soft tissue work, dynamic warmups, etc. Go to mobilityWOD.com and watch some of the videos on there focusing around the legs. Look up foam rolling online and focus on your calves/hamstrings. You may have some tight/short tissue issues which can be remedied by yourself for free (all you need is a decently firm cirlindrical object). I'm not saying this is necessarily your problem but if you don't do any mobility work then you certainly could have some tight tissues causing this problem. Since you are tight on money this is certainly a cost effective exploration.

Probably more likely to be hypoglycemia from those foods unless you get the same symptoms when eaten with carbs. What calcium supp did you get?

NoBread4MeParticipantSame with carbs, I did my testing. But thanks anyways. 80% carbonate, 10% citrate and 10% biglycerate (or something like that). Will look into mobility work. Thanks!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Search iTunes for a podcast called "Ask the RD" .. Either the newest one or the second newest one has about 10-15 mins on muscle cramps and such where they talk about Mg/K/Na/Ca

Good to hear. How much are you taking?
February 7, 2014 at 4:00 am #212261
David EdwardsMemberCalcium will help, so will taurine , a deficiency will cause cramping.

NoBread4MeParticipant1 gram a day. It is still not completely gone, but it has gotten so much better. Pretty funny how the docs say ''it is CFS'', while the magnesium made a huge improvement for me, and now the calcium did as well. Will look up tourine, never heard about this.
