NoBread4MeParticipantStarted magnesium oil too a few weeks ago next to the supplements, pain became a bit less again. Also started a week or so ago high dosed b12, 2 days ago first time no brain fog in since 8 months. Last time this happened it was also after b12 for a while. Also started taking steps of cleaning the house with regards to mold, since mold on food makes me very sick (which is on like everything) but ur house can make u sick too. b12 detoxes the body some people say, so that might explain why. I realize this doesn't really belong on this forum, but given that my muscle pain became much much less, I figured I would still post it. So yeah, I do believe its mainly a magnesium deficiency which is apparently not so easy to solve. Will keep taking the supplements, the oil, going to start some epsom salt baths, and hopefully it will slowly disappear. Thanks again for the advice here.

Scope75GuestI've pretty much solved my cramping problems by drinking 40-60oz coconut water every time I BL. When I stay ULC I don't cramp up at all so no coconut water is needed. I know it's the coconut water because I ran out mid week 2 weeks ago and that same evening/night I was hit hard with cramps in my legs.

I know it's the coconut water because I ran out mid week 2 weeks ago and that same evening/night I was hit hard with cramps in my legs.
So that would be the potassium, which if you are not eating much fruit is lacking and required to handle the carbohydrates.

Gl;itch.eMemberGood stuff bread! Just curious as to whether or not you've had your thyroid hormones checked recently? Cant remember if I already asked this sorry, but it can be a major part in muscular pain syndromes. The better your thyroid health the less magnesium is generally required since more is retained. I know I've already explained how extra sodium (salt) helps for this reason so I hope you are keeping up with that as well.

Maybe....I eat lots of bananas, avocados, drink milk, and eat green beans. Is that not enough from whole food sources that I'd still need a potassium supp?I think the electrolytes from the coconut water help too.

yeah thats what I was getting at, the potassium in the coconut water. If you keep up with that in your backloads you should be fine.

yeah thats what I was getting at, the potassium in the coconut water. If you keep up with that in your backloads you should be fine.

IsmailWMemberChronic pain? SEE a MUSCLE SPECIALIST! Get an MRI done! For all you know your legs could have blood clots forming or you may be developing an auto-immune disease. Last person who told me they woke up and couldn't feel their legs for a few seconds ended up having a stroke a week later. See a SPECIALIST!

IsmailWMemberChronic pain is not something to mess around with. Taking advice from folks on the internet who aren't doctors and don't have access to MRI technology…not a good idea! >:( Go see the doctor. Get some scans done, get some hair analysis done, don't assume when it comes to chronic pain, FIND OUT what it is.

NoBread4MeParticipantThe docs didnt find a single damn thing. I have been to many docs before, and nobody knew what was wrong. In the end they called it ''chronic fatigue syndrom'' and got treatment for that, which didn't help a single bit either. After I decided to take my health in my own hands I made huge improvement. I understand you should see a doc first, but when they fail to help u over and over again, after a while u do ur own research, which I did an insane amount of. OT update: Had some weird cramps a while ago, went to the doc, apparently vitamin D was too high. Did quit taking that, and also did quit b6 I was taking. The cramps in fingers etc disappeared, but chronic weird pain in legs is still there. I did quit calcium a while ago, since I was told by a guy who I respect that high vitamin D can cause calcium toxicity. Still taking magnesium, which seems to help a lot. Once I quit, pain becomes more intense. That said, still no solution. Also potassium/sodium don't really help. Started today with calcium again, again I will be taking 1g a day. Keep you guys updated.

Good man. I had a feeling you had tried conventional approaches first. But once you get bit by a doc a few times you definitely get put off going back to them for the little things you think you can sort yourself.

Keep you guys updated.
How is your vitamin A and K intake? These need to be balanced with Vitamin D and Calcium for things to work properly. I don't think High D is necessarily going to cause any "calcium toxicity" that doesn't really make much sense. But having all in adequate amounts is likely best. How much D were you taking? How much Calcium are you getting besides the supplement? 2g a day is a good amount for most people if from food and shouldn't cause any problems.Apart from Vitamin D have you had any other things tracked with blood work? Id be interested to see where your hormones are at. I have some suspicions.

NoBread4MeParticipantI started K (2200mcg of which 1000k1, 1000 k2 as m4 and 200 as k2 m7) and A (7 mg beta carotene) about a month ago when I did quit vitamin D. I eat mainly bulletproof so like no dairy. Started with 1g calcium yesterday. If u want to know more about the diet its like grass fed meat (organ meat included) and butter, coconut oil, avocados veggies, whey, sometimes eggs and white rice and sweet potatoes. Last check was only vitamin D. About to check again in a week since I told doc I was fine quitting d as long i could get it checked again. So if i should check more let me know.
