Sherylea HurstParticipantIs it normal to feel more hungry the longer on CN? Each week it seems that I am progressvely getting more hungry….at first just in the evening and now all day. I have not been satisfying this and keeping my ULC relatively lower calories, however it is my goal to yes lose body fat but I also need to put on some muscle mass. I have read some stats on women….5'3 and 125 lbs ( Alex and another girl on the forum) and they obviously have so much more muscle. I am 5'3 but only weigh 108 lbs. I am training heavy and have cut my HIIT down to 3 x per week. That was long winded but can someone direct me as far as my ULC days go…should i eat more or just suck it up as far as my hunger is concerned? Thanks for the help 🙂

Richard SchmittModeratorIf you're hungry, then eat. Don't starve yourself

Sherylea HurstParticipantThe reason I worry is because in the summer when I adopted a ketogenic diet I ate mainly just beef, vegetables however I did eat alot of sour cream as well and I also used alot of HWC in my tea each day. I put on 8 lbs over the course of 3 months!!

FairyGuestWow!!Maybe limit the dairy. And I would also say, forget about your weight and just focus on putting on muscle mass. I'm 5'3 and in my opinion the perfect weight for a woman who is 5'3 is 113 lbs (~100 lbs LBM & 13 lbs fat, at 12-13%)

Sherylea HurstParticipantI think you are right at 113. I think next week I am going to just eat until I am full using ULC and see what happens. I use some half and half in my coffee now and 1/4 cup of cottage cheese but thats it now for dairy. If I dont feel like progress is being made I think I will just try adding a CBL mid week and full on CN on the weekend and see what happens. Its very hard for me to put on muscle!

FairyGuestMaybe do CBL or CBL DB if it's still hard

Sherylea HurstParticipantWhat is CBL DB? 🙂

Sherylea HurstParticipantI have not read CBL yet. If my CN is on Saturday would I do a CBL on Tues or Wed? Should I be aiming for 1 gram of carb per my current body weight?

What is your training like on Tuesday and Wednesday?I think 1-1.5g per lb is a good starting point.I recommend reading CBL before you start doing more then a second re-feed in the week.

Sherylea HurstParticipantI usually train HIIT on Wednesday with no muscle group and Tuesday I sometimes do HIIT and back.

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorIf you are gonna have a carb load on a night I would do it on one you resistance train.
