I was looking into getting some creatine HCL to change things up a bit from taking monohydrate. The two best products I've found are Concret and MuscleTech's CreaCore. The problem with both of these items is that they contain acesulfame-potassium.Have we concluded that ace-k should be avoided at all costs during ULC? I seem to recall seeing some work stating that ace-k had to be consumed in large doses to illicit an insulin response.Thoughts on this? Has anyone had any positive (or negative) experiences with creatine HCL?

The battle still rages over Ace-K…http://dangerouslyhardcore.com/forum/index.php?topic=2324.msg39679#msg39679Best advice here, as with almost all the finer details of these protocols, is experiment and see.  Start with the supp and keep everything else in your plan the same, that means CHANGE NOTHING ELSE YOU ARE DOING.  Then, if progress (BF loss) stalls, you have the answer in how Ace-K ingestion applies specifically to YOUR physiology.  If you keep rolling along successfully, more power to you!Personally, I am nearing the end of week two of total Ace-K annihilation and haven't seen any accelerated progress kick in and remain stalled.  I will give it one more week before ditching something else, either eggs or cheese:

    • Eggs - I only have three per day and always paired with fatty meat - 1 egg+beef patty+4 slices bacon in meal 1, then 2 eggs + 4 slices bacon in meal 2.  Don't think they are killing me, but I've gotta figure it out.
    • Cheese - I also have 2 oz Mozzarella cheese with meal three which always includes at least 50-60g fat from food consisting of beef or pork + coconut & mct oil dressing (homemade recipe - delicious) + pepperoni + pepper or tomato.  Could it be the cheese? Again, don't think this small amount is killing me, but I gotta figure it out.

I have noticed that ACE-K is in almost EVERYTHING.  I take Muscle Pharm Bullet Proof, which is a nighttime recovery drink and it has ace-k in it, i am not sure if that will be a problem.  But if you are taking the creatine post workout with the ACE-K then I would imagine that it should actually help with insulin spike.  Just my thoughts.

I don't care about the Ace-K PWO (obviously) but I was looking to take more creatine HCL during the day, probably upwards of 4-5 servings. Not sure if it should be treated like monohydrate in the regard (I.e. Large doses upwards of 60g/day).

Check out Musclepharm Creatine, free of artificial colors/flavors and is a pretty impressive creatine blend!
