elmatth1MemberI wonder if all of the recipes posted by Alex Navarro on this site will be removed now that she is selling a book. Kinda like when Kiefer removed all of the posts about nicotine when he came out with his e-book about it.

Richard SchmittModeratorI personally will get it because 1) I support them and 2) to me $20 is worth it.

CBachelor17MemberI don't it being worth the $ personally. Like sans said there are TONS of free recipes (via “google.com”). I guess if you have the expendable income to buy it than great. But someone like me who doesn't have that luxury. Id rather spend the $20 on gas, food, re-stock supplements, etc.

Richard SchmittModeratorYeah, perhaps but these are science based, client tested, and author used recipes. Read the Preface. Then again all this sounds like what folks do to CNS and CBL.

CBachelor17MemberNot sure what you mean by science based, or client based. The preface is just repeated advertisement of it being a ULC recipe cookbook, with before and afters of ULC clients. Just saying its just a ULC cookbook. Probably a good one no doubt, but as said for someone like me its not worth it. 90% of my meals are pre-cookout and packed in tubaware, shoved into a lunch box with ice packs and eaten cold lol. Im used to it, and its sustainable because I know its getting me closer to my goals.

if it discussed some proper nutrition, nutrient timing, best time to eat what and so forth with studies and experiments to back it up i'd say yea.. but for just recipes i think ill pass on this one

Yea thats what I'm feeling. Now I'm not "dissing" this book in any way though. For CNS individuals that have time to cook all the time, and/or have trouble maintaing an ULC lifestyle because of carb food cravings- this cookbook can and will be very useful I'm sure.

SpatzModeratorI like the fact that its exactly the information in a recipe that I'm looking for. Even the F/P ratio, and I don't have to worry about them not counting a sugar alcohol or something. Also, I second what BigTex said about supporting them. DH Kiefer has done so much for me by putting all this information out there and allowing me to have access to it and change the way I viewed nutrition. Carb Nite was the very first stepping stone into the whole “Fat is HEALTHY” world, and while I may have stumbled upon it later, it would have been quite a few years and I would have gained quite a few pounds after marriage like every one else and been highly frustrated at why my aggressive kickboxing wasn't doing anything for my body fat. So I am happy to support him and Alex when they come out with something helpful. AND this is a PERFECT resource for my Mom and Sister who are now on CN and unsure of what they can eat or what they can not. Yes, it is true they could find these recipes online, but with them being so dang new to this entire outlook on their health, they aren't sure if something simple is going to screw them up.Glad to spend $20 on it. 🙂

I agree, I wished it was offered in a hard copy... But it was easier to share with my family in an Ebook.

CBachelor17MemberWell if already spending the $ on it- put it on a flash drive and bring it to staples. Print a nice color copy and have em put it on a spiral or 3 ring
