GnomerParticipantWell if already spending the $ on it- put it on a flash drive and bring it to staples. Print a nice color copy and have em put it on a spiral or 3 ring

Scope75GuestWell the book turned out just like I thought. Not worth the money for a ebook when searching google is free and has millions of recipes. I also have a feeling it won't do much good for the site when people a use/abuse the treats and skip the real foods.

yea he needs to put out an actual nutrition book to go along with CBL/CNS.. well at least it sounds like it's something he will be a bit more focused on in the next iterations of his books

Now I'd buy that....This book just seems like a quick money maker and will probably cause more harm than good in the long run. Not knocking or dissing the book or Kiefer but I didn't expect him to want anything to do with a cookbook like this. Looking forward to seeing what Spatz makes and post thou.

Richard SchmittModeratorGreat thing about the book is that it contains no dessert recipes

Brandon D ChristParticipantI don't get it. I hate hard copies. Just wasted space!

for me if i need a recipe i need to print it out and bring it over to the kitchen.. it's just easier and more convenient to have an actual book than loose single pages i printed out on my crappy printer

I just priced that out, a nice color copy of that book would come up to $125 from staples. Or a B&W copy for about $20. No thanks. I'll keep it as an Ebook!

I'm making the Focaccia Bread tonight. Pretty much just ground up pork rinds and cheese. The hubby is going to love it. 🙂 I am looking forward to what I can make for added variety.

It's amazing the number of recipes that include pork rinds that are actually pretty good! Pork rind nachos, focaccia bread, pancakes....

MaleraMemberI bought it for a couple of reasons. The first to support Kiefer and Alex (I was low fat, low cal before finding CNS/CBL, and would've been for life, ugh), and the second, I needed some inspiration! 😀 Hubby and I have ben CNSing for 7 months now, and the usual food rotation was getting boring.I agree, a lot of people on this site will not "need" this book, especially the hardcore work out folks who know exactly what they are doing, but for those of us more average people who are still trying to justify that 10th Ferrero Rocher every Carbnite (you know what I'm talking about ladies 😉 ), I think it will be useful 🙂

I am the same. I hate having the laptop in the kitchen.

Lowcarb guyParticipantBought the e-book and started skimming through some recipes. For a beginner cook like myself, I think it was worth the money. I was getting pretty fed up (pun intended) with the same old stuff everyday. It's good to know the net carb values as well. HOWEVER, I just noticed a possible/probable error in the first 5 minutes of skimming through the book. For the basic omlette, Alex says it serves 4 but only puts 2 eggs in it. Really? Are American eggs that much bigger than Aussie eggs? 😉

Tracy JarchowParticipantI bought it. If for no other reason than to show appreciation for the work Alex has done to better my world… I LOVE the puppy chow recipe she has on the DH site. That is my main go to evening snack. A couple bites of that satisfies any sweet needs I have. There are some awesome looking and easy foods in her book too! Bonus!http://athlete.io/6103/ultra-low-carb-puppy-chow/

Lowcarb guyParticipantJust tried that cauliflower fried rice. It was actually very good. more like couscous than rice but still good to have once in a while.
