Paulo SantosKeymasterHello everyone. I just finished up my prep phase and had my first backload yesterday. I started a little early, at about 4pm, but I couldn't hold off on the delicious food.Starting at 4pm, I had a plate or rice with seafood and a roll of bread. Then at 5:30, I had 3 chocolate chip pancakes with maple syrup and some chocolate milk. At 7, I had some more rice with seafood and another roll. The. At 8:30, before bed, I had some chocolate chip mint ice cream with peanut butter. I actually woke up feeling good, but I weighed 5 lbs more (160), which I don't care since I actually felt leaner. I worked out in the morning and had a 20# PR on the Press Lockouts.Tonight I'll be back-loading again with the same foods (leftovers), but just not as much since I won't be eating until 7:30 pm when I get home from work.

Paulo SantosGuestThanks for the welcome guys. I did a quick estimate on how many carbs I had using MyFitnessPal and I had 434 grams of carbs, 52 grams of protein and 62 grams of fat for my backload (2486 calories). At 5'7″, 155, I may have overdone it. I'll see how I feel after tonight's back-load and see how I feel tomorrow morning. As long as my uniform still fits, I'm ok. LOL.

MikehrMemberhaha yeah you have to go overboard a couple times just to figure out what “overboard” is, everyone has and you use that number to adjust to the right amount

Paulo SantosGuestLOL. Today I'm going to go with 270 gr of carbs and see how that works. The same as yesterday, minus the pancakes, syrup, and chocolate milk.
