DerekcervaParticipantThe 150lbs to carbs. Find the 150 number from the book and use that. Take that number multiple by 1.5. What ever number you end up with split that among your training days or when you want to back load. Its a great number to figure out how much glycogen can be stored.
Oh i wasnt sure what that number was in the book i thought it was a bit high lol, thanks for all the help! so the number divided by number of days times 1.5 correct?

Richard SchmittModeratorYep for me it would be 600 x 1.5 giving me 900g or something like that. I split it up say 3 days and gives me roughly 300g to work with each time. Also have to consider the fats and proteins. Not a problem by the way

DerekcervaParticipantfrom the sounds of it, i have been over eating, i had been eating based on the notable weight loss number about 250 each day i trained (which is about 5-6 times) guess its no wonder why i stalled

Richard SchmittModeratorIt happens. I mean you'll be surprised that taking a break or lowering volume will help BUT making sure you eat enough is key. If you really want fat loss have more ULC days than BL days. Start with two or three days. Back load PWO then train the next day and don't back load. You'll get the best of both worlds. By eating carbs you'll grow and the next day it'll help performance while pushing it to burn body fat.

Richard SchmittModeratorI suggest starting a log too by the way

DerekcervaParticipantlike write how much i am eating and volume and what not? yea i had been thinking about that, i was thinking about training thurs-sun then ulc from mon-wed, seems like itd really scorch the fat if i took multiple days back to back to ulc or am i missing some variable? ill play with it none the less to accommodate my needsso go lower on the carbs but not too low correct? if i went too low would it be bad? i assume performance would suffer then id increase but would fat nurning be inhibited if i went too low somehow? (carbs boosting metabolism, yatta yatta)

Richard SchmittModeratorExactly! Eat to grow, eat for performance, train to get better, sleep like a baby, and repeat. Don't forget to train mentally too. But the log yes, since you have CBL you can go to the SA Member's log to start one. Where you can receive additional help
