Fusion4g63KeymasterHey ya'll,I'm new here and just picked up CBL. Super excited to try it out! Although, I am a bit discouraged. The whole reason I bought it was because I was thinking I can do CBL and CrossFit at the same time. But, Kiefer suggests you don't do it. Anybody ever try doing CBL and CrossFit and was successful at it? I tried searching for the topic but it seems the post is locked or I'm not able to view it because it's off limits.Any help is appreciated.

Richard SchmittModeratorWelcome!Honestly, we have 2-3 members doing CF with CBL. As long as you want to get stronger and better yourself, you'll make CBL work. Have you been the DH Site and looked an article/Tubecast special download from Christmas that Kiefer came out with? Might want to check it out!

Yeah. I plan on going heavy for the strength part of the workout. We also have just strength classes that I want to take.

FairyGuestGood luck getting bigger with CF. Men don't tend to respond to strength-endurance training with hypertrophy. If you want to get bigger, do bodybuilding for hypertrophy.

ShaunTXParticipantThe bad thing about CF is that it's not regulated at all so it doesn't really mean anything anymore. If you find a gym with good strength-based programming you can see some good results from CF. If they are using the WODS from central get the hell out of there and try 5/3/1 or Starting Strength or some other program that's going to force you to move some weight. There are some CF gyms out there that do a good job of balancing the strength with some of the conditioning/gymnastic type workouts. You just have to find one that meets your goals.
