Just an update for anyone interested:- lost about 5 lbs during the month- the pre-dawn meal, if i could even muster an appetite, was beef strips and maybe a handful of almonds with about a half gallon of water- i would break the fast with date rolls my wife made (dates with almonds and cashews), maybe a samosa (pakis will know what this is), and half a rooh afza+icecream+2 cups milk+2 scoops protein shake. i finished the shake post workout and slammed food as hard as i could before night worship activities.- workouts were kept to around 45 mins. did basic lifts and one accessory lift (was real economical here)- kept ulc during non workout dayswas very difficult to get the carbs in, to the point of being painful on most nights (also resulting in no appetite for the pre dawn meal). relied on lots of rice + meat dishes e.g. biryani and pulaw with the meats being mostly lamb and chicken.
