So I'm new here, had my first carbnite on Saturday. My partner and I are doing this together, which is great. I def had the carb hangover the next day, and I felt quite tingly and hot. Not sure if that is normal. My diet before this was pretty lows in carbs, but not this low. So my prep phase wasn't that hard on me as it might have been for other people. But man I was looking forward to the carbs.I'm 25, 162cm tall and weigh around 58kg at the moment, with to much fat still on me. Last April I was weighing 75kg and have lost the weight from just clean eating and exercise. But I wanted more, I want to get on stage and compete. I want nice lean defined muscles. So David showed me this page. I read though the posts by Kiefer and this forum. loved the idea of CN so brought the book. A week later David and I started. I lift 5 days a week and found by Friday, it was a real struggle to get through some reps. I did know this was going to happen, but just didn't think it would be that bad. I can't wait to see how my body reacts to this new diet and hopefully I will be stage ready by July.

Welcome! Based on your description sounds like you did it right. You may feel warm on CN and the day after and your performance will drop the further you are from Carb night. So they say do your volume earlier and the week and do less as the week wear on. I had a good CN on sat also but didn't sleep well which may be normal. I would be so hot and sweaty then take the covers off and freeze. It was a night long cycle.MattSent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

Awesome more Kiwis! Check out bekahnz's log in the carbnite section. She has just started CNS too and seems to be doing really well! I myself have only used CBL so far as Im more about the strength and muscle gains at the mo. I have run Ultra low carb diets (Anabolic Diet) for years at a time though so have some experience with that side. Did not get as lean doing that as I have on CBL. But I put that down to wrong food choices more than anything! Best of luck to you. Plenty of helpful people here to give advice if you require it.

Welcome, So exciting to have so many New Zealanders here.  I've heard your country is absolutely stunning, so lucky to live there and have grassfed beef as well..  I hope you enjoy the group and the eating plan.
