Steven McDanielParticipantThis is my first blog. I have been intermittent fasting and training since December 21, 2013. I weighed 302 lbs. I had no idea I was so large. The weight slowly came on and I made excuses. “This ain't fat, it's stored energy.” “More of me to love.” Well no more.December 21, 2013 was the beginning. I didn't even want to wait until Christmas or New Years to start. I made an announcement on Facebook to hold me accountable. I posted pictures, videos and started a journal on FB. I joined BodyBuilding.com and picked a workout plan and got started. My Intermittent fasting journey began with LeanGains and a few ebooks before I read Eat Stop Eat. All in all I am currently down 90 pounds short of 9 months. I wanted to get to 225. However I still had some lower belly gut I wanted to tighten. So I continued. This week I weighed in at 211.Intermittent Fasting works for fat loss. I went from 302 lbs to 211 lbs in 9 months. However, although I still feel strong, and have a decent build (imo), I feel like I got too small. So I'm gonna do CBL on SA until I'm happy with my gut. Then move to DB. I want to be lean. But as swole as possible without much fat. Trying to take it all in. But looking forward to completing my goals with this community.Current stats:5'11"211 lbsBody fat 14.9%Shoulders 49"Waist 37.5"Arms 17.25"Chest 40.5"Forearms 13"Legs 23.25"

Steven McDanielParticipantHere are some photos (link below). Like I said, IF works. And I train like a mad man. I'm addicted to the iron now. But the thought of having pizza, ice cream etc…I have to give it a shot. I use to save these treats for once per week.So with CBL, I want to use SA to continue to drop lower body fat (10%). Or, at least get rid of the lower belly fat ;). And then DB to bulk up without too much fat. We'll see. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10204295943864970.1073741834.1419986389&type=1&l=0c00837d55

Steven McDanielParticipantTomorrow is Day 7 of the Prep Phase. During this prep phase, I did HIITS twice and jogged three times. No weights at all this week. I was giving my body a break. I trained 5-6 days per week since December 2013 and only took a week off previously when I injured my leg. So since I did HIITS twice this week, I'll break the prep phase at 7 days. So tomorrow night I begin my 1st official carb backloading for Monday's training day.
