Most stimulants are vasoconstrictors – ie caffeine. If that was the case people would be dropping dead of heart problems from coffee. Saying nicotine causes heart problems and is dangerous is completely ridiculous (assuming you're taking normal doses. I don't count “studies” where they give a lab rat an insanely high dose and claim its affects….unless of course you plan on chewing 10,000mg worth of nicotine gum a day, then pay attention to the study.)
I use the 2mg piece as well…that's plenty. I also picked up the lozenge the other day too. Not too bad, I feel like I get more of a kick from the lozenge. Thing takes a good hour if not more to dissolve.
I'll say again, I just have recently found that chewing nicotine gum while lifting seems to -decrease- my primary exertional headaches incidence. This, it seems to me, would indicate that vasoconstriction is -less- of an issue. Dunno what's going on there, but so far, it seems to help. Could be placebo, but I figured it out sorta' by accident, so the placebo thing seems less likely. Who knows?
