I ordered the Nicotine Declassified ebook and it seems pretty cut and dry. Since I train upon waking I'm going to follow the 2 mg pre and post recommendation if I pick up the nicotine gum.My concern is the postworkout dosage. I understanded that we want to keep nicotine far away from carbs because mixing nicotine and an insulin response can expedite the development of diabetes (correct me if I'm incorrect here).Does the same go for an insulin spike resulting from leucine? And how should I order those supplements postworkout if they're okay to take together? Nicotine first and leucine later, or vice versa?Any help is appreciated!

The other major downside we see with most people is nicotine’s ability to cause a dump of triglycerides, which in the presence of glucose can actually exacerbate the development of diabetes.

The presence of insulin is not what is detrimental...it's the glucose in the blood.

And how should I order those supplements postworkout if they're okay to take together? Nicotine first and leucine later, or vice versa?

    I doubt it matters.

Ahhhh, so since leucine provides an insulin spike independent of glucose, then all should be okay if I take them in unison?

Not to hijack someone else's thread but I came here with a similar question.  The Morning training protocols for CBL call for carbs in the post workout shake.  The nicotine protocols for morning CBL training calls for nicotine post workout.  But nicotine is supposed to be kept as far away from carbs as possible.  How do we reconcile these 2 protocols?

Carbs aren't always needed in the AM PWO shake, it will depend on goals. If fat lose is more important to you, which is should be if using the nicotine gum, then skip the PWO carbs. If you'd rather gain mass skip the gum until mid afternoon

The insulin spike from carbs is what would a problem when mixed with nicotine. The spike you get from the leucine is ok after nicotine.

Hi All,There's been some good discussion on this exact topic here: http://athlete.io/forum/index.php?topic=16662.0  if you care to take a look. But Trevorxgage has said it best. Tweak the protocol to fall in line with your ultimate goal.
