Not to be an ass, but this got me wondering. If the gum was and is being used with good results, with fat loss or cognitive function, why change it to something that isn't tested or proved to work like the patch? If it wasn't mention I don't think it would have the similar affect as the gum.If y'all are using the patch for the want to quit smoking then use it for that, not for fat loss goals or thinking clearer. Just my opinion and thoughts on the subject.Again I am not trying to be an ass or a downer, I apologize if I may have seem like one.

Well said! I would have said the same except I dont carry as much "weight" on these forums as someone like yourself! (: Kiefer said in his last video on the Youtubes that he'll be putting that Nicotine Article out shortly. So stay tuned everybody.

The reason I'm not so into the gum is because I tend to chew it, which you're not supposed to do. I believe chewing when you're not eating is a confusing signal to your body. Jake, I already said I don't smoke. Never have. Never will.

As long as you can account for the longer release and time your peak blood level concentrations accordingly, I don't see what the issue is. Both products contain the same ingredient. I'm a bit disappointed at the attitudes in this thread. There's as much support in the literature for using patches for the desired goals as there is for gum - the research has been on the active ingredient, not the delivery method itself. At the end of the day, blood plasma concentrations of nicotine are the primary concern. If one is willing to put in the extra work to try another method, I don't think they deserve disdain. In fact, we should see wait to see what their results are. There are always tweaks to be found and I doubt Kiefer would come in here to say that his way is the only way - that's an approach that he has always seemed to avoid. He doesn't want to be a guru.
