MagParticipantI'm brand new here so thank you in advance.I am a guy in his 40s....6'2"....210 lbs and have been training at various intensities since high school, have always been in good shape.I work construction for a living.I want to get my BF under 10%,would guess it is 12 ish now.I have always eaten a high protein diet of about 1g of protein per lb of bodyweight and no junk.I have been taking whey protein in skim milk shakes for many years, usually in the morning, sometimes post workout in the evening if I don't want to fix a meal.I always eat right before turning in at night. So I picked up some nicotine gum (woo hoo!),and I want to incorporate that into my daily routine.I am thinking I will chew a piece upon awakening, and down the protein shake a half hour later.I want to maximize things with caffeine, but I don't care for coffee. But that don't mean I don't get caffeine.I drink a lot of frickin Pepsi!I probably down 6-7 cans during the day at work.I need that shit.If I worked inside I am sure I could regulate the daytime diet easier.Working outside is tougher,as far as the options and timing goes. And I need to be alert and need the energy to get things done. The work varies in intensity, but it is physical,so it is definitely somewhat of a workout.I have to vary my evening workouts depending on what I have done during the day or what I anticipate on doing the next. I'd like to replace the soda with caffeine pills and bottled water.I need suggestions on how much and when to take the nicotine and caffeine and as well as what I should be eating in the morning and daytime to benefit myself and my energy. Thanks in advance for any help and suggestion!

Thanks for that.If I replace the Pepsi with a pill,I will knock off about 80% of my daily carbs. But,I need to replace those calories.Just want to do it the right way at the right time of the day.Carb Back Loading is new to me,I want to tailor it to what I do.

MagParticipantStill off the Pepsi, hasn't really caused any problems. But I also added the nicorettes and some caffeine pills in the a.m. Not a coffee lover but I think it has good benefits so I may get a coffee maker of some kind.Real coffee seems to have big benefits in the morning and pre-workout.So,I have basically re-distributed 200g of carbs from first half of day to the evening, which is pretty major,I guess.Maybe tomorrow I might re-introduce myself to the folks at the bake shop in town.Do they have a Hallmark card for that?
