Sherylea HurstParticipantI know it has been discussed via podcast but I cannot find which one. Does someone have an understanding of why after CN I keep waking up hot initially and then at least once in an all out sweat…drenched. What is going on inside to create that? Thanks for any education 🙂

Cory McCarthyMemberYour hormones and metabolism are kicked in.I start getting the "heat" after the first meal, when I begin introducing fats w/ the carbs. It continues through the night, and into my sleep.I also get wierd-ass dreams.Cory

dgibsonMemberI don't get it while I'm eating on Carb Nite, but definitely that night and into the next day, sitting at my desk sweating for no reason…

Sherylea HurstParticipantSo its all hormonal?

FairyGuestIt's called thermogenisis. Your body can't store the glucose and it has to get it out of your bloodstream somehow so it burns it off as heat.

Scope75GuestI was sweating for damn near 10 hours yesterday. As soon as I at carbs until I went to bed and into my sleep.

Yep... one sign that shit is working, though, not everyone seems to get it.I do, in varying degrees. Some CNs worse than others.Cory

I was in some weird version of London in my dream... it was both medieval and modern, all at once. I was visiting some friends, who currently live in California, but for some reason moved to London in the dream. I was doing a film project with them, but all hell broke lose. Not sure what that hell was, but gangs and crooked cops were after me. It was an ass-kickin' situation, literally.Oh, and for some reason an old ex was in the dream. She is British, in fact. Not from London, though. Not sure why my brain planted her. Could be the England factor, dunno. It was all very random.Cory

FairyGuestI had an amazing dream while on CNS where I was dead yet still 'present' and observing my funeral. Very vivid. The others I forget. But yeah. It does mess with your mind.

cloudybrainParticipantIt was a few weeks ago, my old job invited me to their company party and they haven't seen me in like a year. It was my carb nite and I finished from the gym 2 hours before. Now, it was really cold outside, like 15 degrees and I was extremely sweating, I even had the air conditioner on in my car on the way to the party. As soon as I entered the building, my shirt started to soak, my whole body couldn't stop sweating. It was so embarrassing, I kept giving different excuses, oh "I just spilled water on myself" or "I came out of the bathroom and washed my face" ugh!The sweats lasted all night, my pillow was soaked when I woke up and I was really dehydrated. So yes, it's normal. Happens every carb nite.
