This week has been my first using CNS.  I've already trained 3 times over the course of the week.  Yesterday was an off-day so I'd planned on training this afternoon (now) and starting the carb nite with a PWO shake.  I don't have much energy at all and I've read that a 2-3 day split is best for carb nite.  Given my lack of energy, and the number of times I've trained this week, is it necessary for me to train again before I start my CN?  I suppose I'm thinking about it like I would do for CBL.

With the lack of energy I wouldn't. Because think of this way, if you have no fuel in the tank and you want to go lift or what ever you want at the gym, you'll hurt yourself, you probably won't give 100% like you normally would, and won't do yourself any good. Your best bet is probably schedule training around your next CN, and plan it a bit better. That's if you want to lift/train around your CN. Other than that, today enjoy yourself, it's a Saturday and you're beat. Have some kind of movie marathon with the wife and enjoy carbs!

I noticed this my first week too (im on my 2nd week)what I think it is mostly, is a lack of calories, and the first time, most likely, that your body is using the majority of it's energy from fat, and you are probably not as acclimated to it someone who has done it for awhile. Also, just to make sure your not using protein for energy, make sure you are at least getting your 1:1 protein and fat ratio. For me, actually, I feel a little better with a little more fat, but I imagine w/ all things nutrition that it is highly individual, so play around w/ it. I just wouldn't try and get protein to high b/c then you'll be risking gluconeogenesis, and destroying your muscles  🙁

I'm definitely getting 1:1, more fat than protein even.

Then i'd ask, calories? height/weight, BF%?And, then if thats good, i'd just chock it up to most likely being your first time going keto (of course thats an assumption)

No, it's definitely not my first time.  I've gone low carb before, and I've been using CBL for the past 2 months.  This is my first time going with CNS.  I just don't like not having the energy, I never really get used to that part.

Well, as you read in CNS, there is a difference between low carb, and ultra low carb.Ive been low carb dieting for about a year and a half (50 to 80 a day, and the majority of them from vegetables)I can say it's defiantely different than just low carb diets. its keto.

I know that, and I'm referring to ultra low carb.  I get about 10-15g of carbs on ULC days.  I know what keto feels like, when I get to the end of the week and start dragging, I get annoyed and start bitching.
