My mom who is 55 years old, has started Carb Nite. (Thanks to me :))She weighs 190lbs and is 5'7.I have her at 150g of Protein and 75-90g of fat each day. She seems to have trouble eating all of that protein so I suggested she try a Protein shake. I've made her quit running and she isn't into lifting weights (yet!I'm still working on her) so she will swim slow laps, walk or do HIITs in the water after her carbĀ night and one or two other days a week.My question is can she have a Protein Shake even though she isn't lifting weights? I have her drinking one only after she does a HIIT or moderate excercise. Should her shake have more fat so the whey doesn't spike her insulin as much? Or none at all?Thanks!
