Hi everybody!  Wall of text incoming.  ;DI've already posted here a couple of times, and I feel a little rude because I never actually introduced myself!  So...I've been trying to do keto diets in general on and off since last summer and haven't actually had that much success.  I do like how I feel on them, and I actually save money because I don't go out to eat very often at all, heh.  When I stumbled upon CNS, I was pretty sure I'd found the real deal, but even so I wasn't getting too much in the way of results.  Combine this with a neurotic personality and having way too much free time, and I've been lurking the forums like crazy to figure out what I was doing wrong.Info dump:27, maleCurrent weight, 215 lbs.5'11"~30% BF?  I'm not sure, but I look about the same as I did a few years ago when I got it tested at 30%, and I look similar to pictures I've seen of dudes at this %.I started my "second course" of CNS around New Year's Day, and since then I've lost maybe 5 pounds of water weight in the prep period, and clothes aren't fitting any better.  Yikes.I'm pretty sedentary.  This is for a lot of reasons(a.k.a. excuses), the two biggest being that I barely have money for rent, let alone access to weights, and I'm depressed. My staples this time around are beef and pork roasts, ribs, shoulder, etc.  Basically, cheap cuts of meat that taste amazing when you braise them for a few hours.  I end up getting about 500g of them each day along with some eggs fried in Kerrygold, eaten more or less at random intervals.  (Eating meals at the same time every day is a minor point made in the book, but not really brought up in the forums or on the podcasts, to my knowledge.)  In the mornings/whenever I wake up, I have coffee with a tablespoon or so of CO 12 hours after I last ate, then wait an hour or two more to have an actual piece of meat.Supplements and meds are Wellbutrin, multivitamin, 2 g fish oil and 5000 IU D3 in the morning, and 400 mg magnesium citrate and Prozac right before bed.I guess this is starting to turn into a log, but it'd probably help me to make one.  I think I will eventually.  🙂That being said, I have a couple of questions.1) Might the antidepressants be messing anything up?  Or, for that matter, the depression (technically I have dysthymia and probably some anxiety problems)?2) People mention stress/cortisol levels as being another factor in lack of results.  Is there a good, objective way of knowing whether I'm too stressed to lose fat?Anyways, I like this forum; it's very friendly, and I'm glad to be joining all of you.  I'll try and share the things I've learned...as soon as I learn them.  😉

Welcome sir!To answer both of your questions, yes. Depression and stress have negative results and don't really make progress. You either stall badly or go in the wrong direction. I'm not a doctor, or have a medical background, but I personally think that the anti depressants can cause problems with any diet. I do think you should start a log to help keep yourself accountable and can have feedback to questions or advice needed! The DH Forums is a great place and willing to help each other out. Best of luck sir!

Also, if you are barely exercising now and have limited funds you should research bodyweight exercise and start a program right in your living room and/or park area that allows you to do pushups, squats, and even curl and/or presses with things you might have just around the house.  Around here we have Craigs list, people are always selling weights and various things to clear there basement and you can get serious deals.  I've even found brand new Bosu balls at the waste facility here in the free but gently used area they have set up.  Then there is walking outside, which is helpful to improving depression as well..
