November 18, 2012 at 10:02 am #102734
chriskMemberIve been following the bulletproof diet probably for about 4-5 months then i swapped to CBL for like a week but then decided to go back to CNS because i want to get rid of the excess bodyfat – Im currently 182cm 12% BF 79kgs

webbyMemberYou may need to do more frequent carb nites if you're at a genuine 12% body fat

FairyGuestIt's probably gut inflammation due to a food intolerance, or chronic stress (you've probably heard about the emWave)… Or just genetics.

DrapMemberListen to biojacked radio number 27Kiefer mentions that for maximum fat loss you go for a 2 gram of protein to 1 gram of fat ratio for meals on CNS. And that's around a 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight. So if you are 79kg that's about 170g of protein and 80-100g of fat.You end up going in to a calorie deficit which you makeup for later in the week on the carbnite. Try that, cut the fat a little and go mental for 6 hrs on carbnite and see what happensThat whole 1:1 protein:fat ratio doesn't work for everyone trying to lose body fat.

FairyGuestAre you sure Drap? I thought that was CBL? and 1g:1g ratios were for CNS

I think he is right Fairy...Kiefer does say .5gfat/1gPro on biojacked. Unless Kiefer meant it otherwise. This macro's is as always a base line. I personally would not go less than .5fat/1gpro. tweak, tweak. tweak

FairyGuestOh thanks guys. I'll have to listen to that again. Obviously wasn't paying attention 🙂 I'm kinda doing the opposite right now and it's working anyhow!

Cory McCarthyMemberThe 50/50% ratio did not work for me. I respond best to 40/60% (in favor of protein). That said, I cycle in higher-fat days (depending on feel) where I eat more yolks and cook with more butter.I was highly successful during my first 6 month CNS run. Right now I am bulking a bit more, to keep my body guessing.On my next CNS run, I intend to incorporate ideas from here: http://dangerouslyhardcore.com/forum/index.php?topic=6086.0 (I've also suggested having Matt Porter on as a guest w/ Kiefer.)Anyone can get ripped, so long as you don't have some unfortunate medical condition. Genetics aside. Some just have to work harder than others. Don't let that discourage you, kick ass the way YOU need to, so you can obtain the body YOU desire!Cory

Go HeavyParticipant The thing is, everyone really is different. The only thing that can be said for certain is what might work for me may not for you. I do better even at my higher bf% with more frequent carb refeeds than once every 7 days. I experimented with cns for a while I did lose some bodyfat, but after a few weeks I held rediculous amounts of water ulc and felt sort of sick to my stomach by the 4th morning. This was while doing the detox diet during the ulc part as closely as my budget allowed (I bought regular beef and eggs).  Ate some carbs and it went away. I think for me the emotional attachment is a serious helper and hamper with my progress. Hormones are a big factor on this diet especially and stress not being able to eat what you want or even what you're used to factored in with regular stresses of everyday life can affect some people I think. Carbs really are like a drug and they have addictive qualities in at least some people. How this relates to you is maybe you're too stressed to let your body to give up those fat stores. Maybe add another carb nite or drop the hiit for a while. You're already lifting and depleting glycogen stores via that method. The Hiit sessions may be too much. Or maybe the lifting is too much. Cortisol only helps in spurts. Being elevated all the time for a long time does no one any favors.  I'm back on cbl strength accumulation and focusing solely on building muscle. I'm not even afraid to, if I feel like it maybe even have a clean carb at night on off days even like a density bulker, and ya know, so far not thinking about losing fat I've made the most progress so far I've ever had being a little less strict about it. lol  Which is something Keifer has talked about in his biojacked podcasts where the clients who don't worry so much just seem to do better even if they don't follow the protocol completely "perfect". This protocol whether it be cbl or cns is very forgiving for a diet so experiment and don't be afraid to lose some progress to learn more about your body and you will eventually find what works the best for you. Raise your fat to protein ratio, or lower your fat to protein ratio, or cut dairy or cut gluten or take a break from lifting or hiit or both. Try upping your total caloric intake during the ulc portions, or not going quite so long fasting before eating. Things like this aren't sprints, they're marathons. 😉 There's even more tweaks you can try to get that extra bit of belly fat off, including maybe just gaining some more mass while holding the same bf % as best you can so you have less fat to lose before the deffinition sticks through, but that list should keep you busy at least a few weeks lolBest of luck 🙂 I wish I was 12% bf right now... >_>;

FairyGuest@Go HeavyIf you have emotional attachment issues with food 1) It's great that you're aware of them. Awareness is the first step to addressing any issue.As someone who used to binge eat, I'd like to recommend the book; Brain Over Binge, by an ex-bulimic who found a solution to it. I believe that the solution that she found is THE solution; in fact, I've come to realize that it is also the solution to many of life's other 'issues'.Part of why I really love body transformation is because change happens from the inside out. You have to become a certain person on the inside to achieve the outside body that you desire.
