Penny DannerParticipantUnless I”ve been getting a certain craving, I've been kinda skimping on my veggies. I heard a podcast with Keifer the other day and he started to say something about vegetables (that sounded like it was going to be a little derogatory) but then he changed his mind. So....what do you think? No veggies if I don't wanna?

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorVeggies are a vessel for butter.

David M PopeParticipantWhat Trevor says.I rarely eat them anymore. If I do it is to add fat via butter to an otherwise protein-heavy meal. Or if I just feel like I'm wanting some veggies.Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

GnomerParticipanti don't eat many probably only a serving or two a day but they are a great filler.. especially for those that are hungry often and trying to lose weight… eating a plateful of vegetables will generally fill me up and is very few calories

Penny DannerParticipantThanks y'all. I get rather lazy with having to cook them sometimes so usually I'll have a salad and call it good…unless I'm craving broccoli with butter.

+1 ^This. I generally make sure I have veggies with dinner, as they are a wonderful filler and just about every single veggies tastes great slathered in butter. Broccoli seems to fill me up quite well and hold a good amount of butter. Little butter trees. :3

Penny DannerParticipantI'll try to get more in. I like garlic mashed cauliflower but it mashed such a mess. Broccoli butter trees are easy. Lol

PhattyMemberFor those that skimp on their veggies, what do you do for potassium? Just supplement it?

bananas/potatoes for me

SpatzModeratorI also tend to do one or the other, or both on my CN. (Bananas and/or potatoes) I don't worry about my potassium intake, but sometimes I do find I'm craving a banana on my CN, so I'll make sure I pick one up.

Are you on CBL or CNS?I tried doing that when I was on CNS but it just didn't work out at all. I was getting light headed and a little dizzy when I stood up. I started eating 600g+ of broccoli/spinach/sprouts and the dizzy/light headedness went away.

I use Morton Lite Salt instead of standard table salt. It's approximately 50/50 sodium/potassium.

Penny DannerParticipantI'll have to check my multi vitamin on the potassium content.
