AllenxldMemberHowdy Ya'll – Been awhile since I've been here - a few years??? not sure! I received some videos from Kiefer and it re-sparked my interests in CNS and CBL. I turned 50 this year and spent the first half of my life NOT taking care of myself. I am overweight (FATMAN!) have the syndrome X, type II diabetes working: on Metformin, Glimeperide and Onglyza along with many other supplements. Recently hired (12/28/2013) by the US Postal Service to repair their vehicles - before that on unemployment for 3 and 1/2 months. Started back exercising - moderatly and eating extremely LOW Carb due to blood sugar peaking at 379 and A1c at 13. Tried CNS a few years back but did not give it a fair chance to work before I bailed. So here I am for a reboot and to put CNS to the test for full six months this time - by the book, following all the rules, etc. My Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ has blessed me with two beautiful daughters both in college and I want to be around AND healthy for my grandchildren and GREAT grand children!! BTW I am 5-11, 279 (@ last doctor's visit), I TRY to work out a minimum of 3 times a week with resistance and walking - off days just more walking. Thanks for your time - be seeing ya!Allen 😉

Mrs.StashMemberHi there, Allan! You responded to my "True Fatty" post and now I am reading that you are a Christian, I am, too!I am a bit younger than you, so my kids are still at home. Still, I feel like you and I may be the 'fogeys of the forum'. 🙂Why don't you start a log? It would be great to see how things are going for you as you take this journey, and would give others a place to post some supportive comments or give input. How are things going so far?-MS

AllenxldMemberHey MS – Thanks for the response! I am doing well. I had my 1st CN Sunday and I enjoyed the heck out of it! Took my Mom to PF Chang's for her B-day (they have a gluten free menu which is excellent) and I had shrimp with lobster sauce and steamed white rice for my first meal with a gluten free chocolate desert that was just divine!! Then I continued with lemon chicken and fried rice for next meal and apple turnovers with blue bell home made vanilla ice cream for my finisher. I did experience the heat rise/thermogenic effects but did not sleep as well as I thought I should - it may have been from eating the turnovers almost right before bed - I am not sure but will continue to experiment next CN. Yes we may be the "Fogey's" of this forum but I am definitely excited about FINALLY taking the FAT OFF. The science just makes too much sense for it not to work - I have been on a ultra lo carb diet since the first week in December and lost some fat but not anywhere close to what I need to lose. One Doctor said that my waist should be a maximum of half of my height so it should be 35 and 1/2 inches NOT 46 inches!! I have a long journey and may have to do a few cycles of CNS to get where I want to be but my mind set is there along with help from Jesus and the Holy Spirit!!I will try to keep you posted on a weekly basis as much as I can. Have a Blessed week!Allen
