Hi guys,I'm Joe Xavier, hailing from Borneo (Sarawak) and I've been into fitness & nutrition for a long time now.Started with Venuto's BFFM 5 years ago, lost 45lbs and was doing very well metabolically.Somewhere along the line, I stopped training for around 8 months (and weekly alcohol and parties) and pow! I'm going back up again now.Today I've been sober for 16 days, and it's an achievement, considering I rarely go 4-5 days without alcohol.I'm getting certified as a Performance Nutritionist (ACE) and I've been considering carb manipulation for me to reach my personal goals. In the process of studying (Examine.com & AARR), I stumbled upon Carb-Backloading. I have been attempting doing IF but because of my shitty lifestyle, I couldn't see any progress.Anyway, CBL sounded doable and it was a variation of carb-loading that I initially intended to use. So since the legwork has been done by Kiefer, I decided to give it a try. Halfway through Prep Phase, I realized CBL wasn't what I needed, but CNS. So on the 3rd night of Prep Phase, I bought CNS and continued with it in the Reorientation phase. This is day number 5 of Reorientation and I've lost 2.4lbs of water weight.I hope to join you all in this amazing journey and be a success story!

Welcome! I admire your desire to cut back on the alcohol. That can be really tough. Sounds like you're on the way to success with these protocols.

Thanks! It got to a point where I feel I should be in AA!Anyway, I don't actually crave them at all now, and I suppose thinking of when's my next fat & protein source keeps the mind preoccupied. I do have a couple good bottles cellared, and I intend to enjoy them after a couple years. 😉
