Jas0nKeymasterDid a quick search and couldn't find anything about organ meats on the forums/from Kiefer. They are considerably cheaper here down under and from what I can gather are insanely nutrient dense. What are your thoughts/experiences with grass fed beef and lamb organ/offal meat? nutritional powerhouses or a nay? Currently considering getting some ox and lamb hearts and liver.Jason.

pshannonMemberOrgan meat is great for you! Its just not something that you can get regularly by going to local shopping market (at least around me). I probably have liver 2 twice a month. I have to go to a local butcher for it.

Ry DiggsMemberusually your supermarket chains will carry liver no problem. sometimes you gotta hunt for it! They won't usually have it shelved with the regular ground beef or steaks. My supermarket usually keeps it shelved with sausagesGo with calf liver! It's about twice the price but the nutritional density is unparallelled. On the topic of frequency of eating it, it's ok to enjoy once every week or two, but it's not recommended to eat multiple times during the week. And don't eat polar bear liver. You'll dieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Jacqui DBMemberI regularly have lamb and beef heart in stews. You can also slice beef heart thinly and flash-fry it. Liver is awesome with caramelised onions and wholegrain mustard. I make my own pate too.

Brandon D ChristParticipantOrgan meats are very good for you, though I find them to be the most disgusting food on the planet.

FairyGuestI have some lamb hearts in my freezerĀ . . . waiting for Halloween to be well and truly over before I consider defrosting them haha. Weird.I used to be vegetarian, so it can be hard sometimes. I just try to cut things up/make them unrecognizable/mix them up with other things.
