HeavyKettleBellGuestThanks for your insight. I've been programmed to believe that the only to avoid overtraining is to Undertrain. With what you said about 2 hours vs 60 mins of workout, I get you. Maximize time to make progress. When I get in front of a computer I'll share my program. My philosophy with working out is make progress but don't get hurt. This is the longest I've gone without a shoulder or low back ailment.

I hate to sound like I'm plugging or pushing anything but I really like John Meadows Mountain Dog Training. He offers a lot of sample routines and articles. It's nothing crazy or revolutionary but it just makes sense and you feel it.If you're interested here is a link to a bunch of his articles on nutrition and training. They are a little scattered but most of the training ones are near the bottom: http://www.t-nation.com/ALSAuthor.do?p=John%20Meadows

FairyGuestOkay, so recently I've gone from working out hard 4+ times a week to only twice a week. My observations:* I need less sleep* I have more energy* My muscles are not so pumped* I'm dropping fat like crazy* I feel calmer, though also restless at timesI'm dropping back on training, because I want maximum body re-composition results for less stress on my body. Over stressing your body is only likely to do harm long term.Having just thought this over, I think I might go up to exercising three times a week, but make sure I'm recovering really well.
