I like peanut butter, but haven't really had much in many years.I also like nuts,I used to eat maybe 2 pounds a week before CBL.How can I work them back into the rotation? When would they be productive?I mean,if you tell me its a waste of time, fine,I'll eat something more worthwhile, not like it's bothering me or something.I used to like them because I am a lazy-ass when it comes to preparing food.

Peanut butter in general is not great, due to its high ratio of omega 6 to 3 which is inflammatory. If you really want some nut butter, almond is a better choice and I used to swear by it, but nixed it some time ago because really your body doesn't need it. As for other nuts, macadamia are okay and maybe Brazils for selenium (but don't overdo it). Otherwise I wouldn't bother.

It there is really no benefit to working them in as tigerite said. They aren't bad in moderate amounts but can become deterimental if you eat too much. I am a big fan of peanut butter myself and will have a serving (normally 2 tbsp) at the end of my PWO meal if I am craving it.If you want peanut butter stick with natural peanut butter (ingredients should be peanuts and salt thats it). I would recommend Earthen Balance Coconut Peanut Spread. It is a mix of peanut butter and coconut oil so the fat profile is a bit better. I also thing it tastes way better than natural peanut butter.

They are both fine when they are ULC.  While as the others say you don't want to make them a staple fat, in small amounts they are fine.  Since you enjoy them, I would recommend you eat them.

So,if I were going to eat nuts as a quick snack in the ULC portion of the day, which ones would I choose?Any thing preferable as far as peanuts, cashews, almonds or the other common cheap to get nuts?Is one better than the other in fat or amino composition?Carbs?

Doesn't matter as long as you count the carbs.  If want the best, eat macademia nuts.  They are the lowest in PUFA and have one of the lower carb counts.  Cashews are the starchiest so I would avoid those.

Peanuts aren't nuts, keep in mind.If health concerns are an issue, macadamia nuts or walnuts are probably the best options because of the PUFA amounts.

I also agree with what mot people here are saying.  Try to keep the PUFA low, but if youre not consuming large amounts (more than 1 or 2 servings), I think peanuts/peanut butter is fine on ULC.  Ive been consuming around 2 tbsp on most ULC days without any detrimental effects

I would supplement with Brazil Nuts for the extra selenium help

    Walnuts are almost completely PUFA.

nuts are real food.. main benefit i see from nuts is the minerals and fiber they provide and some in pretty significant amounts.. if you enjoy almonds and macadamia nuts i wouldn't cut them out personally

+1 There is more to nuts than a little bit of PUFA.  Just eat almonds.  They are one of the cheaper nuts, they are widely available, not high in PUFA, and they are low carb.

Should've used the word ratio. Walnuts have one of the best n6:n3 ratios.Regardless though, they don't taste nearly as good as macadamia nuts.. Too bad they're so expensive
