Trevor G FullbrightModeratorThat's what I'm afraid of!! If I start with candies, I will eat bags - no joke. I eat similar to you and it seems to work out pretty well IMO.
I'm lucky if a qtr cup of candy is eaten, I think I've been holding off, then eating too dense.. Cory's plan is well laid out.. Hmmm mix in pancakes ~ some cereal.. Sent from my DROID4 using Tapatalk 2
I want to make a brownie batter pancake topped with ice cream.
Slutty brownies and voodoo donuts Best backload ever.
Googling Slutty Brownies, but didn't you go on vacation and had those donuts??I know that there is a pretty awesome recipe to have cookie dough as the basing with brownies on top and frosting covering it all!
Yeah, I had the donuts 3 nights in a row and the last night we backloaded with the brownies, donuts, and ice cream. It was legendary.Slutty brownies are cookie dough base, Oreo and marshmallow in the center, and brownie on top.

John LaPlaca JrMemberI start out cleaner on the first meal with low fat and then I add fattier foods as the night goes on. Has anyone ever drank regular Red Bull on a CN? Its one of the only things I miss the taste of but I could of sworn I have read limit HFCS.

John LaPlaca JrMemberI start out (@ 4pm) w/ candies... like jelly bears, etc. Usually consuming ~600-1,200g of carb in the first 20 minutes. Then, I begin to add fatty carbs... like cookies, doughnuts, cakes, etc. Nothing clean.Later, around 8-9pm, I add a restaurant or take-out meal. Not clean either.I meet my remaining daily protein quota w/ powders, aside from the restaurant meal. This further spikes insulin, and leaves more room for CN foods. The only change that has been made in my entire time doing CNS, is last Saturday was my first CN 100% gluten-free. A trend I will be continuing to see how it affects my results.Cory
I love candy! I had sour patch kids on Sunday night for my CN and it was good. It was the first time since starting CN I felt hot from the carbs. Thing is my carbs don't get past much more than 600-700 for the night tops. Mainly because I don't have the appetite to eat that much. I will do a bit more spacing out though.

Honestly, I am not a HUGE candy guy, but I loved gummies as a kid. However, I can't eat gelatin now as a vegetarian.I do eat jelly candies, closest thing to gummies, to kick off CN. All from Whole Foods Market, to avoid artificials and HFCS.Cory

Robert GrayParticipantI made slutty brownies last week. Amazing, although almost too sweet, even for me.I like to tell myself that I do some things clean, but in truth I just try to keep gluten out of the night and eat low-fat for the first hour or so. I like to start things off with chocolate-covered banana chips, cereal/cereal treats or a low-fat sweet drink from Starbucks, then move into gluten-free stuff that I usually bake myself. The night usually ends with ice cream.

thestiffmeisterParticipantI am still backloading/doing CN 2012 style.Honestly, I was never this disciplined on a diet in my life for 95% of the week, so I don't give a fuck what is optimal or not. I got strong/lean on ice cream, cookies and cake, not on rice and potatoes. If I eat low fat it's because I like how that particular food tastes at that moment.

This is what I advocate. If you aren't losing fat on Carb Nite, it is most likely what you are doing when you are ULC because that is 95% of the diet.

One of the best post I've read on this forum. People stuck aiming for optimal this and that aren't optimizing shit because there training/diet sucks anyways. Lol6.5 days of ULC is what gets the job done the CarbNite is just a tool to help you burn fat on your ULC days.

Mix cocoa powder with the regular pancake mix! It's pretty much the same way just cooked on the stove instead of the oven.
That sounds awesome. I might try that tomorrow night with my waffles.

If you do make sure to post about it. I don't want to waste any pancake mix. Lol

guitarjonParticipantI make my backloads/CNs nice a clean (not spotless) for the first meal. After about 60-90 minutes I start to get bored of the clean stuff and get down on the dirtier treats. I definitely notice a greater effect from the dirtier carbs when I introduce them. Sometimes the first meal isn't all that clean so I might try to get a shake with whey iso and dextrose in just beforehand. I virtually always end the feeding with ice cream.

Haha, me neither. I'm confident it'll work nicely though. Either way I'll keep you posted.

I'm sure it'll work good too and if not ice cream on top will fix that problem.
