kcarolhxwParticipantSorry if this has already been posted about…but…does anyone experience a lot more hunger the morning after a carb nite? And it slowly wanes as the days go by, but it's like the carbs kick it into high drive. Could anyone help explain this to me, and perhaps what I should do about it? Should I just eat more or try to ignore the hunger until it goes away...

Richard SchmittModeratorDrink coffee with coconut oil in the morning. And/or wait till your 12th hour mark to have a ULC whole food meal

And it slowly wanes as the days go by, but it's like the carbs kick it into high drive. I know that this was always the case for me. I would be so hungry the next day. I know that my intake was much more than my other U.L.C. days. So, I think it is normal.Could anyone help explain this to me, and perhaps what I should do about it? Should I just eat more or try to ignore the hunger until it goes away...What worked for me was eating more fat and protein for that day. As you said it started to diminish and things got back to normal.
Are you still seeing progress weekly?

kcarolhxwParticipantI mean I see progress, but it's still a big experiment for me right now. Glad to know I'm not the only one. Perhaps I'll try eating a little more and letting it settle back down. @Tex, I always start my day with a bulletproof coffee. The hunger though I'm referring to is pretty gnarly and I find it hard to satiate with a creamy coffee. Is there something about coconut milk more filling than butter?

PhattyMemberI don't feel like eating much at all after a carb night.I usually skip breakfast altogether and just have two regular meals later on.

StonemasonMemberUsually I am also very hungry the day after carb nite, I only recall one where I was not. It would be interesting to know the difference between those of us who are not hungry at all post-carb nite and those of us that are ravenous.
